“Early in my career, I had the good fortune of participating in the successful transition of two biotechnology companies from R&D organizations to commercial entities. Based on that experience, I began to realize that there were similar gaps in expertise at every company as they made this transition, and significant learning curves that needed to be overcome. I believe these “holes” have contributed greatly to the increasing cost of healthcare today.
In addition, I noticed that, as biopharmaceutical companies evolve, there are pronounced peaks and valleys in the need for human resources across all phases of drug development. This variability often leads companies to utilize personnel in areas outside their expertise, often slowing down the process and producing less than ideal results.
As a result of my experience and observations, in 2001, I founded DDR, taking a no-nonsense approach to helping life science companies optimize the drug development process and get therapeutics to market faster with less expense.
